History of Pine Hill

Pine Hill began as a home-based business building small trailers and doing service work. Today, having evolved into an innovative leader across the hauling industry.

Pre-2000

From Dan Petersheim's home, his first builds were a skid-steer trailer and dump trailer. Due to Dan's expertise and reputation as an excellent trouble shooter, a local shed hauler asked him to do trailer service work. Word quickly spread, and he often had three to four truck and trailer rigs parked in his driveway.

2000

After thoughtful consideration and prayer- Pine Hill was born, establishing Pine Hill Trailers as the retail and service division of Pine Hill Manufacturing. The demand for quality trailers with innovative designs increased. At this time, Dan decided to venture into manufacturing shed moving trailers full time.

2002

After operations took place at the Petersheim home for a couple of years, Pine Hill needed more space. In 2002, business moved to a 15,000 square foot shop in Gordonville, PA on East Gordon Road, and welcomed five employees. It was during this time Pine Hill realized the potential for a full service and repair department for shed moving customers and the general public, and so both dedicated service and sales divisions were added.

2003

Come 2003, due to the rising demand for Pine Hill shed trailers, a full-time manufacturing department was added to oversee the manufacturing process. Dan's ability to problem-solve, and fine tune each trailer to meet the customer's specific needs quickly made Pine Hill an indispensable source in the shed hauling community.

During this time Dan was also instrumental in evolving Belmont Machine, a local trailer manufacturer start up. His extensive trailer building knowledge and attention to the needs of the customer is still evident in the quality and durability of the Belmont trailers today. That's why we've included Belmont trailers for sale as a part of our trailer inventory.

2012

Pine Hill outgrows its building yet again. The company bought four acres of land and constructed a 150,000 sq. ft. building. In 2012, the company moved to their current location along U.S. Route 30 in Gordonville, Pennsylvania.

2014

In order to continue serving the shed hauling community, Pine Hill opened a shed moving trailer repair and service department in 2014. This department is dedicated to having service techs available and solely devoted to servicing shed moving trailers.

Today

Pine Hill now employs a talented team across five divisions: Shed Trailer Manufacturing, Custom Builds and Fabrication, New and Used Trailer Sales, Service, and Parts. The company is the gold standard for shed moving trailers and has shed trailers all across America and in three countries.
