History of Pine Hill

Pine Hill began as a hands on, home-based business building small trailers and doing light service work. Today, it has evolved into an innovative leader in shed moving trailer manufacturing, trailer sales and trailer parts and repair.

From Dan Petershiem's home- base, his first builds were a skid-steer trailer and dump trailer. Because of Dan's expertise and reputation as an excellent trouble shooter, a local shed hauler asked him to do service work on his trailers. Word quickly spread, and he often had three to four truck and trailer rigs parked in his driveway for service. For the next two years, Dan alternated between building small trailers and light service work at his home shop.

In 2000, Pine Hill Manufacturing and Pine Hill Trailers were born. The demand for Dan's trailers increased, because of his reputation for high-quality, solid engineering and innovative designs. Dan decided to go into manufacturing shed moving trailers full time.

After working from his home full time for a couple of years, Dan needed more space. In 2002, he moved the business to a 15,000-sq. ft. shop in Gordonville, Pa., and added five employees. It was during this time Pine Hill realized the potential for a full service and repair department for shed moving customers and general public. At this time, a dedicated service division was added.

Come 2003, due to the rising demand for Pine Hill shed trailers, a full-time manufacturing department was added to oversee the manufacturing process. Dan's ability to problem-solve, and fine tune each trailer to meet the customer's specific needs quickly made Pine Hill an indispensable source in the shed hauling community.

During this time Dan was also instrumental in evolving Belmont Machine, a local trailer manufacturer start up. His extensive trailer building knowledge and attention to the needs of the customer is still evident in the quality and durability of the Belmont trailers today. That's why we've included Belmont trailers for sale as a part of our trailer inventory.

As business continued to grow and more trailers were added, a dedicated sales division was added in 2007. Their primary goal was to specialize in open and enclosed trailers.

Pine Hill outgrows its building yet again. The company bought four acres of land and constructed a 150,000 sq. ft. building. In 2012, the company moved to their current location along U.S. Route 30 in Gordonville, Pennsylvania.

In order to continue serving the shed hauling community, Pine Hill opened a shed moving trailer repair and service department in 2014. This department is dedicated to having service techs available and solely devoted to servicing shed moving trailers.

Pine Hill now employs 48 employees and houses five divisions: Shed Trailer Manufacturing, Custom Builds and Fabrication, New and Used Trailer Sales, Service, and Parts. The company is now the gold standard for shed moving trailers and has shed trailers all across America and in three countries.

Trailer selection doesn't stop at the mini-barn business, with over 300 trailers in-stock, consumers and professionals alike visit Pine Hill daily for their hauling needs. With an inventory of over 3,000 parts and 12 active service bays, Pine Hill is Driven by You and keeping your show on the road.
